Limited Edition | MAC Padma Lakshmi Collection | Review/Swatches

I'd like to apologise in advance that this collection is no longer available on the UK MAC website but may be available from other stockists.

I have this crazy little thing where I am not too fussed about MAC collections unless they appeal to me however I always get one or two lipsticks at least from each collection as I've done this for years.

I go on and have a nosy every Thursday as thats when they generally release new collections which is where I saw the MAC Padma Lakshmi collection. I was drawn to how it was middle eastern inspired but more so the intricate packaging. So as a spur of the moment I ordered a couple of lipsticks as I generally liked the fact this collection didn't just contain reds, bright pinks and purples which is usually the case.

I decided to pick up two lipsticks from this collection one which is a lustre finish whilst the other which is a satin. Firstly the packaging I have to say is even more beautiful in person, with metal casing again something different to what they usually create, the colour scheme of the packaging is in a rich gold.

Out of the two Nude Fudge is definitely my favourite in a mid warm reddish brown shade the fact that although its a satin the colour pay off is opaque and matte's down as it wears, leaving a stain like finish which works brilliantly as you don't get the inner worn lips look when it wears if that even makes sense lol!
