Lifestyle | Masterclass & VIP Meet & Greet With Marlena (Owner of Makeup Geek Cosmetics)
On Saturday I got the privilege to attend Marlena's masterclass organised and put together by Beautybay, for those of you who don't know she is the owner of Makeup Geek Cosmetics! For me this was HUGE! I had an amazing day, firstly let me say the tickets were SUPER affordable for someone who has such a huge presence in the makeup industry, my ticket cost me just over £40 and thats for VIP too! We all received a goody bag with the same amount of products whether attending standard or VIP again this was a brilliant gesture as they contained products that totted up a value of over £100!
The day started off with a masterclass held by Marlena herself, she not only used her own products but products by other brands too to me this reflects a true personality and not just a brand owner pushing their own products out! Throughout Marlena interacted with EVERY single one of us, answering any questions and even asking for recommendations from us. We then had a short break and then onto a Q&A where we all got to ask anything, Marlena was very encouraging, we discussed all subjects even skin care, how she came about creating her brand, how she encourages those of us with smaller following and MUCH more. We also got the chance to see and play with her products this included the line up for her holiday collection and even products in the process to be released next year. Finally we then as VIP got a chance to go on stage and speak to Marlena on a 1-to-1 basis and of course get selfies taken!
I loved my time at the masterclass and came away with amazing advice, tips, tricks and more than anything feeling warm and fuzzy by how humble Marlena is, her PA took her time out to speak to me and even took my details. Our goody bags were amazing, we got - 2 brushes, an empty magnetic palette which includes a mirror followed by a selection of 9 of her eyeshadows to go into the palette, Makeup Geek X Kathleen Lights Palette and a Plush Matte Lip Cream! If that wasn't amazing enough Marlena took the time to personally sign my palette's too!
