Brand Introduction | Fenty Cosmetics Pro Filt'r Foundation | Review/Swatches

Ok so you heard what I thought of the Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette, let me update you slightly on that; I tried another 4 looks with it and ... I passed it on, I gave up. Right so Rihanaa also broke the internet a all over the world with the launch of her new makeup line Fenty Cosmetics. I tried to stay away and I tried not to jump on the hype but the reviews kept coming and the blogger in me made me do it (I promise).

The only thing I ordered was the the Fenty Pro Filt'r Foundation, though I controlled myself as hard as that was. I know a lot of people went for the highlighter but I personally didn't think it would've suited me as a highlighter, maybe as a eyeshadow it would work well. So I went on initially to have a mossy and was like damn that price is damn good and from then I must've basket'd the foundation and walked away about 20+ times. Though my skin has been so weird, my t-zone and specially my nose area has been producing enough oil to cook a very greasy curry! I have tried 6 different foundations and techniques in the past few weeks but nothing has helped.

I caved in and I got it ... I honestly have no self no control or very little at the best of times but hey although Harvey Nichols charge crazy shipping prices it came the next day. I like how she has kept the packaging simple, though the mattered glass bottle will be a nightmare for catching fingerprints (as you can see from mine in the pic). I also noticed the foundation has a gentle scent to it.

First and foremost I have to tell you this foundation is a matte finish so if you have dry skin I don't think it will work for you if however you can work around managing with that or you have oily to combination skin then here is my thoughts. The thing I struggled so badly with was colour matching it was impossible I had to go with swatches and a beauty bloggers review and recommendation (worst mistake) it quoted MAC NC25-30 skin tones would be best suited with Fenty 290 so I did try the shade out and it deepened by at least two shades, but because I loved the way it held up for 6 hours I took the plunge and ordered the shade 230 which can look ghostly on me when I first apply but then it settles down. When I swatched this on the back of my hand I found the more I warmed it up and rubbed it into my hand the warmer the shade gets. The other thing I am super impressed by is how it gives a massively visible blurred effect on the skin as you can see in the picture above, finally this is the one foundation that has held up the best at keeping my oily t-zone under control! I love it to put it quite franky!
