I'm a little behind and been MIA from blogging so I'd firstly like to apologise life has been hectic with many other things that I feel slightly sad that I had to give my blog the bak seat. I am back with a review on the Urban Decay Full Spectrum Palette, I picked this palette up literally as soon as it launched because anyone that knows me knows I am a sucker for bright palettes, I live for colour!
When I first saw preview pictures upto the run up of the launch of this palette a few months back I knew it was going to be mine. I already love the Urban Decay Electric palette and it sits amongst my my favourite palettes list and then this .. I am in love! This palette has a very luxurious feel to it, just from the packaging alone you can tell a lot of time and effort has gone into it such as the smaller detailing to the outer packaging detailing, it has a very artistic feel to it.
The first row of shades are all deeper type shades, the middle row has all the brighter shades including a silver and then the last row has more pastel shades including a gold and a white eyeshadow which is the only matte shade in the palette. if you work downwards each shade has three versions based around the same shade i.e. a deep blue, bright blue and then a lighter/pastel blue. The only shade in this palette which didn't work so well was the third one along on the first row I had to literally rub and rub to get the swatch I did but other than that the pay off and pigmentation on all the other shades is mind blowing. I have to apologise for the blurry swatches it wasn't til I uploaded on to my MAC that I realised they had come out blurry.
Apart from the one shade I am absolutely in love with this palette and it may just have knocked the ranking of the Electric palette simply because it has so many more eyeshadows to offer, a lot more variety as well as a gold and silver, I think if this palette had a few browns, neutrals and a black I could possibly live from this palette though I understand the concept was purely around bright shades. It is also very versatile as you have deeper shades as well as pastels and a matte white eyeshadow.
