When Tarte first launched the Tarte Swamp Queen palette which was a collaboration with Grav3yard girl aka Bunny I never really paid much attention if I'm honest. Grav3yardgirl/Bunny is a well known YouTuber who I've vaguely come across whilst scrolling but not someone I know much about, however I do know she is a influential YouTuber and one who speaks out about being unique.
The palette itself was super popular I'm guessing this was because Grav3yardgirl has a lot of support on the other hand the shades are all wearable too. The Swamp Queen palette comes in a palette with outer wooden effect teamed with gold inner packaging, the brush is paired up with the wooden effect too. Inside is also a fairly decent sized mirror which is imprinted with “Believe in Yourself. Love Yourself. Embrace Your Individuality.” You also get 9 eyeshadows, one blusher, 1 contour shade and a highlighter, along with all this you get a step by step get the look card for a day time look as well as a night time look. Tarte have also stated all the shades in this palette are limited edition.
When swatched I flung the eyeshadows were very soft to touch and swatched amazingly, I do think it is very easy to pick up too much product due to the soft texture but the colour pay off is brilliant with high intensity pigment. Theres a mixture of mattes, shimmers and even a shade with glitter particles, the brown shade which has glitter particles would need a good base to help keep the glitter particles down as I do think you will end up with some expected fall out otherwise. I also love the gold and deep mauve purple in this palette, as usual tart have kept the concept where each row of shades are designed to work around the others they have been paired up with. The contour shade I personally think would work well as a contour for lighter skin tones however it works brilliant as a blusher for me and finally I have to add I love the highlighter the texture and pay off on this is next level! This palette retails for £34 and is still in stock, I don't think you have to be a supporter of Bunny to like this palette because I believe the shades are quite popular shades and work for all skin tones.
