Limited Edition | MAC Mariah Carey Collection | Review/Swatches

Ok so lets take a deep breathe! This collection was well and truly one that EVERYONE was waiting for with so many sneak peeks and teasers before the launch how could it not be and lets face it everyone loves Mariah and then the line up for the collection was a breath taking one to say the least.
In my opinion this has to be the best collection MAC has released, the detailing and packaging is just beautiful, for once a massive well done to MAC this collection on a whole reflects how much time and effort they have put into it.

One of the items I expected to be sold out instantly was the Mariah Carey My Mimi highlighter, the detailing on this highlighter is just amazing though I feel like the outer casing is lacking and has a slight cheap feel to it, I think they personally should have kept the glitter theme flowing with this too! Anyway to my surprise this highlighter was actually in stock til the next day and it was the beauty dust that sold out first. Although this is listed as a highlighter I do personally believe it'll be too dark to use as a highlighter but I just couldn't bring myself to have a play with it.

I also picked up all the lipsticks simply for the packaging, these aren't shades I would usually reach out for but thought they would be a good addition to have and play around with. Two of the lipsticks are a frost finish - the popular being 'All I Want' whilst the other three are Cremesheen finish. The outer casing is silver glitter with accents of gold trimming, the inner bullet casing is gold with Mariah's signature and the actual bullet itself has a butterfly engraved into it again another amazing touch to the collection. Although the outer casing is silver glitter it has been coated over with gloss so you don't have that rough feeling.

Finally I picked up the 239 Shader Brush from this collection, I need some more eyeshadow brushes and already have the 239 from their permanent collection so I thought I would pick this up, I was a sucker for the packaging of this brush too! Unlike the lipsticks you can actually feel the glitter on the brush and I personally wish they would have glossed this over too.

  1. ultimately, reliable machines are incredibly expensive, whereas the first-class unfastened weights value reasonably-priced. Barbells are first rate for lifting the heaviest weights.

  2. Is the Mariah 239 the same quality as a regular 239??? Thanks in advance :)
