New Release | Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette | Review/Swatches

So its been a while since I did a product review, recently a lot of my time has been taken up with YouTube'ing and creating tutorials along with kiddies birthdays and Eid. I got this palette a few times and just passed it on as I kept justifying to myself that I have the Violet Voss Holy Grail palette (reviewed here).

Each time I'd see someone mention the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette it tempted me more and more, even those who like me already owned the VV palette. I even went to the extent of asking for opinions and looking up comparisons. Anyway as it happens it just caught the weaker side of me and I caved in and bought it, I even created a youtube tutorial which you can view here based on Eid makeup using just this palette and influenced so many others on my FB to leap into purchasing this.

Firstly the packaging is a very light pink shade covered in velvety material, the palette itself is the same size as the previous ABH palettes, you get a double ended brush and a handy mirror too.Popping with 14 eyeshadows of which two are shimmers and rest matte, this palette is made up of shades mainly around browns, rusts, maroons with added highlighter and a few lighter shades too which is exactly what makes it quite so similar to the VV palette. In terms of accessibility this palette is much more readily available specially to us UK people and not so pricey either considering shipping and customs on top of the VV palettes cost price.

I won't lie to you I love my VV palette way too much hence why I was almost in denial to believe this could be as good never mind possibly better, each time I'd see a review boasting this palette more than the VV I'd be like nah that can't be true. I do have to admit for ABH this is one amazing palette, the eyeshadows are like super, super pigmented. The burgundy, maroons and rusts definitely are slightly different to the ones in the Holy Grail palette. The one thing I'd change about this palette is the velvet material which houses the outer packaging as it is already started to get slightly mucky other than this I have to admit I absolutely love this palette and in comparison to the VV palette the eyeshadows are that slightly bit more buttery and pigmented!

Palette £41.00
