As always I was pretty damn lucky to be able to get my hands on the Jeffree Star Beauty Killer palette from the first launch. I was super excited when I first saw it even at the point of ordering it and then seeing Jeffree's YouTube video where he showed us swatches.
So its quite a slim palette which is just what I prefer as it makes kit life much easier. The palette itself is sturdy cardboard, with a baby pastel pink covering the outer packaging, once opened you have a fairly decent large mirror but not the full size of the actual palette. I have to admit it is a rather large palette, I'm not complaining as that means more products etc, do I need to mention pan size ... they're huge! So definitely with the price tag which isn't crazily priced I received no customs fee (not sure how that happened as I always end up with a customs fee for Jeffreee Star orders).
Ok what do I think - starting with the pink, I love a bright pink eyeshadow, if I remember right Jeffree Mentioned the pink is not one that will stain I can tell you it did stain on me, I was expecting super pigment but I had to build up the swatch above, however it picks up pretty well with a brush. The nudes in this palette have to be the easiest to work with and the most pigmented, moving onto the gold (this was the one I was really excited for) I was slightly disappointed because it seems flaky, once I'd swatched I could literally blow the particles off! Finally I expected more from the brighter shades again another reason I bought this palette. Don't get me wrong the eyeshadows aren't awful or whatever but I had high expectations from this palette and I guess it didn't live upto my expectations I will also add they pick up very well with brushes.
I have a youtube tutorial coming soon on a look I created using this palette. I also got the Skin Frost's which I will be reviewing very soon!
