Tarte Tarteist Lip Paints & Lip Liners | Review/Swatches

Liquid matte lipsticks are just so hot right about now and the trend doesn't seem to be fading anytime soon either, especially with the likes of Kylie Jenner releasing her take on them along with high street brands to high end brands. For me liquid matte lipsticks go as far bak as 4 + years when I bought my first one from Lime Crime and ever since then I've been hooked!

Tarte have also released their version Tarteist Lip Paints which offers a variety of shades but with matching lip liners. Matching lip liners is something only a few brands have done, I do thing more brands should have embraced the idea. When I first got a liquid matte lipstick the though was pretty scary having to get precision within the first go or rummaging to find a matching lip liner, so brownie points to Tarte for being one of the brands to release matching lip liners.

These are available to buy aa pair from QVC UK or you can order direct from Tarte which I haven't done but I'm guessing involves customs. Tarte's version hover is a more mousse to cream like texture and I do find it takes them a while to dry completely matte which was something I'm not used to. However they come with a general doe foot applicator and its rather easy to get precision in the first go. What I also like is the fact that there is a good control over product amount, I find with a lot of liquid matte lipsticks the runnier the texture the more they seem to over flow out of the tube. Finally I generally like the feel to the packaging and I also have to point out that the lip liners do not budge and they come in a twist-up form which means no sharpening!
