One can never have too many highlighters right?? I will be honest it took me months to get hold of this illuminator or I like to call it highlighter, the two popular shades Starlight and So Hollywood were the quickest sellers and only ever once in a while limited amounts are restocked. I even considered paying silly money I think £50+ from private sellers but I decided to wait and buy my time.
I have many times over on my Facebook done comparisons of this being a dupe for MAC's limited edition Oh Darling and even Mac's limited edition Whisper of Guilt! I personally think the Illuminators are more of a highlighters as illuminators are very subtle don't get me wrong this can be worn very subtle but can be built up for super intensity, I would also like to point out that these contain no shimmer/glitter particles which is exactly up my street!
However the consistency to these are very similar to MAC Oh Darling and they do break super easy, I would use the term shatter but these are more of a compressed material so I'd say they crack rather than shatter, yes my Starlight Illuminator has cracked on me and now I understand the pain of all these pictures you see on social media with comical meme's, for makeup artists I'd say either handle them with super care in your kit or even avoid putting them in your kits. On the plus side these compacts come with a mirror and I have to say I love the fact they have created the perfect 'golden' type highlighter. I or one am super glad I finally managed to purchase one for myself!
