Tarte LipSurgence Power Pigment | Review/Swatches

Product Performance: A burst of moisture hydrates lips while imparting rich, highly-pigmented color in new, skin brightening, vibrant shades, and the antioxidant formula with just a hint of refreshing peppermint nourishes and invigorates lips for a more plumped up appearance. The sleek, “skinny” packaging allows for the most precise application of your favorite color while minimizing waste and your carbon footprint.
Powered By:  vitamin E: natural preservative that also acts as an anti-inflammatory emollient & antioxidant. shea butter: natural skin emollient that helps retain skin elasticity & protects against degeneration.

carnauba wax: emollient from the leaves of the carnauba palm to ensure a smooth application.

I've only tried the Tarte Butter Lipsticks before and its took me a while to get the chance to try one of their most popular LipSurgences' the shade I have is natural beauty which I guess is made alongside their Amazonian Clay Blusher in Natural Beauty and if not then both of these are a similar shade so I couldn't help but think of the blusher. There is some LipSurgences available on the QVC UK website just not this shade.

There is a variety of LipSurgences all with different finishes available i.e. lip tints, lip cremes and matte lip tints. The one I am reviewing today is from the Power Pigment range, there is a total of 8 shades available in this range each one with different eye-catching patterns to go with each shade. These come in a pen style bullet with a twist up mechanism to push the product up which means no sharpening needed and makes it much more convenient.

Once applied to the lips this gives a lovely flush of colour not opaque but definitely a pigmented sheer glossy finish. Typically these last around 2-3 hours on the lips and once worn these still leave a subtle tint. What I do love is that this keeps my lips super hydrated and I enjoy using this when I fancy a change from wearing lipsticks all the time. I would definitely say this shade would work well for all skin tones appearing more pigmented on lighter skinned ladies and more subtle on darker skin toned ladies. I would definitely love to try out more shades and even the matte range.
