New Release | MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation | Review

I have held back for a little while so I could trial this foundation properly before posting my review. When I first this foundation ordered I was rather excited about this as the Pro Longwear Concealer is a toto fav of mine. I'm not sure why but I was expecting this foundation to be more of a runny texture probably based on the Pro Longwear Concealer, however the consistency is rather thick very much similar to MAC Studio Sculpt if not slightly thicker. I found blending this on with my usual RT Buffing Brush it went on quite well but did require some extra blending. I also expected the tube to be around the same size as Studio Sculpt which is 40ml but this is less than half the size and you get 25ml worth of product yet its 50p more expensive than Studio Sculpt. I ordered this in my usual shade NC35 but this seemed much of a paler shade with much less yellow undertones than the other MAC foundations.

Although the shades are paler than the other MAC foundations I have to say this oxidises like crazy so after a while it was the right shade match for me, but on the other hand this left my t-zone super oily too. I also found the finish of this foundation to touch is very sticky which is very weird I had to powder like crazy to get rid of that super sticky feel also it feels rather heavy on the skin I'd say pretty much just like Studio Sculpt. Finally a plus point about this foundation is that this lasts ALL day without budging, the same coverage and finish excluding the fact of it leaving my combination skin oily in certain areas. I initially bought this to trial and see if it would be a good option of foundation to use on brides and this would've been perfect had the texture been less thick, didn't leave a sticky texture on the face and didn't oxidise as much, I guess the only part that this foundation really impressed me was for the fact it has amazing lasting power. Also its a shame about the pricing of the foundation for how much product you actually get in comparison to the rest of their foundation ranges.
Foundation £25.50

  2. I got a sample of this in NC35 which seems like a good colour on me, I usually mix 2 shades and I love the texture and applying it with my RT sponge, a little goes a long way and looks much more natural on my skin. But I'm still undecided if it oxidises on me or not, I think I need to try it again. I'm trying to decide between this one and the new Nars foundation for what to buy next- dilemma's! lol

    1. I don't like the new NARS one that gets oily like super crazy, this probably appears more natural cut to u applying with a sponge x
