New Release | Bobbi BrownArt Sticks | Review/Swatches

Bobbi Brown recently released the Bobbi Brown Art Sticks, I debated for some time whether to get these or not for no  specific reason. I then came across this trio set on QVC UK and decided to go for them as you're saving £10.50 in total which I though was an amazing deal because they retail for £19.50 each on the Bobbi Brown website.

Each Art Stick comes with its own sharpener which is an added bonus as these are practically extra jumbo sized pencils and it can be pretty difficult finding a sharpener big enough. The Art Sticks are basically designed to be used on the lips and cheeks I personally only use them on my lips, each one has a colour coded end which makes life much easier than having to pop the lid off and if you're useless like I am with remembering shades and names then again the coloured end is a godsend.

I found the the pencil itself is just the right texture meaning it isn't too soft to the point it starts to crumble and isn't too stiff to the point you're practically scratching it against your skin to get a decent colour pay off. The above swatches are one swipe swatches, the texture is just right, I personally find these are semi-matte after roughly 2hrs wear they do tend to get matter although I've seen reviews saying these are really matte and drying this isn't the case for me at all. Once on the lips the wear time is pretty applaudable I'd say as these stay on my lips for 6 hours like a normal lipstick before any wear starts to appear although even when they do start to wear they leave a even stain behind which I quite like too. I really like the idea of these and can see them lasting much longer than a lipstick as a little goes along way due to the opaque pigmentation pay-off and for those who have found these to be drying all I'd recommend is applying a balm to your lips beforehand. I really like the fact that QVC have these on as a trio plus the shades they have picked for the set are just perfect.
