I decided to do a little post on my Illamasqua lipstick collection as I was about to depot for the first time and Illamasqua lipsticks were the first on my list. I decided to depot these as I wanted to get more use out of them and was hoping for the texture to soften up a little as it was hard to apply these with a brush so never took them to use on clients.
The far right and middle row of the palette are all my Illamasqua lipsticks I changed Apocalips for Pinkie as it is one thud get used much more, I haven't swatched 'Pinkie' above but I basically swapped the two.
The first row are all my favourite shades including Soaked, Atomic and Glissade they're probably the ones I use the most. Even after deporting I have about a quarter of each lipstick left so I depotted them in a way where I could put the rest back in the tube to be able to use for myself.
The texture unfortunately hasn't changed I can't work out whether its actually stiffened but I'll go further into that when I do my post on depotting and experience. However I can now apply a little more pressure with the brush to pick up colour whereas in the tube if I did this I found it made move about a little. I do however love the satin finish version of lipsticks that Illamasqua released the texture is much easier to work with. I would definitely say the texture of the matte ones need improving but thats my personal opinion as they have some lovely shades it'd be ashame to let that put people off buying them. So as you can see I melted mine into my palette and I hope to get more use out of them.
