About a year ago I purchased the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit which I reviewed here it has since been my most go to products ever for contouring and to say the least it has been one of the most popular products in the world of contouring!
Last week we saw the release of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit which must have sold out super quick as I can not find it on there website. I picked up the medium palette there is also light and deep which they released. This palette I find goes perfectly hand-in-hand with the powder version. The one pan that got the most love from me and became a fast staple for many others was the shade 'Banana' as it was perfect for setting highlighters/concealers although it is a yellow powder it worked perfectly as it you don't get the white flashback effect because when using a highlighter many of us effectively like to go lighter with our highlighters/concealers. This also was my perfect solution for achieving that under eye matte highlight effect, so when I seen they released a cream version in the Cream Contour Kit to say I was over the moon is an understatement.
The Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit is slightly bigger in size compared to the powder version, the medium palette comes with two highlighter type shades, a corrector, a neutral shade and two contour shades, the pan sizes are also square and bigger where as the powder version's are circle and considerably smaller. The texture of the cream's is pretty much similar to the cream-to-powder type not very creamy but not too thick and the best thing I love about these creams are they're super easy to build with almost no effort at all! This palette also comes with sleeve for the main packaging, but what I like is that this time they have named the shades on both the sleeve and actual packaging, they have also gone for a clear lid this time again which is another bonus and finally the pans are removable so I'm only guessing refills will soon be available too.
Below I used the Cream Contour Kit to highlight and contour and then used the powder Contour kit to set all the areas in place. I also shared a step-by-step pictorial on my Instagram yesterday, click here to see it.
