I've not been excited for an order like this in a hell of a long time, after seeing Colourpop Cosmetics on Instagram for a few months I could do nothing but lust over their stuff because unfortunately they don't ship internationally. Only to my luck coincidentally a blogger friend Hailey mentioned she will be ordering from the states via her cousin and I was like hell yes I want to order too!

I only ordered from Colourpop Cosmetics and you bet I made the most of the opportunity while I had the chance to and thats exactly how this order came by. With little research on the eyeshadows I ordered 6 in total and the main focus of my order was firmly on their infamous Lippie Stix and Lip Pencils.

So whilst waiting for my order I went on to Youtube to have a look at swatches and reviews etc mainly on the eyeshadows because I was unsure if they were powder or cream. As it happens they are pressed pigments so the kind that MAC brought out that were basically cream to powder kind of texture. I personally am not a fan of having to use my fingers to apply eyeshadows as I find it messy plus it cuts down the creativity so I wasn't so excited for these as I already have 6 by MAC which I never really use for the same reason. However obviously as I'd ordered them I decided to give them a go with a brush anyway to see how well they do and to my surprise they pulled off just as well!

Next lets on to the Lippie Stix and Lip Liners mainly all the recommendations were to go for the matching lipliners rather than just the lipstick luckily I had done that anyway as I feel I never have enough lipliners and generally have found myself never using a lipstick without a lipstick anymore. The lipliners themselves are matte regardless of what the finish is to the matching lipstick I guess this is to make sure they don't just slide back off with the lipstick, the texture of the lip liners is very similar to MAC's Cremestick liners, finally they aren't the twisty type of lipliners and because the packaging is plastic you will need a very good sharpener. The Lippie Stix come in a variety of finishes glossy, satin and matte now one of the reviews said that they preferred only the matte lipsticks because the rest just clung to dry patches this caused a little worry for me as my lips can get particularly dry. However paired with the matching Lippie Stix I had literally no problem whatsoever. These have also got a slightly similar scent as MAC's lipsticks, the colour pay off and lasting power both are seriously applaudable, also the matte Lippie Stix are not like MAC's Retro Matte range where the texture is just too tough I would rather say that the texture on the matte shades is more semi matte and one that is not clingy at all, they feel super smooth on the lips. I for sure will be ordering a hell of a lot more as I'm super impressed with them.

I love love love everything I got and have been wearing the Lippie Stix and Lip Liners every day since my parcel came and I really don't think theres anything I can fault about them. I love the packaging and the fact it isn't matte as I can't imagine what the outcome of white and matte combined would be like, all the products come stamped with their logo in a holographic finish, I also love the fact each shade has the finish also written on each product. Finally the price .. everything they sell is $5 each .. yes thats right .. roughly £3.50 each yet the quality and effort put into this brand is definitely on the high end scales! All over Instagram their products are hyped and rightly so from me personally I have to admit they are worth all the hype. For all my UK readers I apologise this post won't be very helpful to you as they aren't available here but I know many of you have family/friends in the states, or visit their yourself or even know someone who's going to be visiting and if theirs one American brand I would recommend then this one would be it!
