|Tarte Golden Days & Sultry Nights Eyeshadow Palette|
Ok I haven't seen this yet available on QVC UK website but as it was my first eyeshadow palette by Tarte I wanted to share my thoughts with you.
This is the Tarte Golden Days & Sultry Nights Eyeshadow Palette which is a limited edition palette with 5 limited edition shades and is available on Tarte's Direct website for $36.00. Firstly as always Tarte did not fail to impress when it comes to the packaging which gave me a tropical kind of feel to it. The palette itself comes with a decent sized mirror which is aways a bonus and consists of 2 mattes and 3 shimmers a total of 5 shades. All the colours are wearable, I was pretty impressed with the matte shades as I feel these can be a hit and miss sometimes but admittedly Tarte have done well, the shimmers are lovely shades and worked just as well as the mattes, all 5 shades are literally buttery soft and too bright for those of you who love more neutral toned down shades.
The golden shade works well as a face highlighter too and the brown shades is a perfect all-over lid shade, the first matte shade works well as a matte brow highlighter as for the second matte shade this works perfectly as a transfer shade or possibly as a crease shade for those of lighter skin tones, finally the green is a lovely colour to use as a pop of colour shade or even as a lid eyeshadow.
Generally I quite like the texture of the eyeshadows and how well they work both with finger swatches and eyeshadow brushes, I think I would have liked a deeper contrasting shade for this to be one of those palettes that can complete a full look. I would like to try another eyeshadow palette by Tarte before I make my mind up on exactly how I feel i.e. get the chance to play with brighter and darker shades.
