Tarte Colored Clay CC Primer & Brush | Review/Swatches

Tarte Colored Clay CC Primer & Brush

Tarte Colored Clay CC Primer and camouflage tool. This multitasking, skin perfector brightens skin, evens skin tone, blurs imperfections and neutralizes any redness or discolorations. Oil-free, this gorgeous formula soothes skin as it glides and blends effortlessly for a smooth, even finish, so you'll feel at your most gorgeous every time you wear it.

Last month QVC extended their Tarte range with a few new items, one of them was the Tarte Colored Clay CC Primer & Brush when I seen this I immediately jumped onto their website and placed my order typically I went for this in the shade medium. What you also get with this is a 'Dual Ended Tool' which I rather like to call a dual ended brush, if I'm honest this is what drew me into purchasing the Colored Clay CC Primer. On one end you get a foundation application brush, which is a round, chiselled pointy-like brush and on the other is a sponge which I thought was an amazing idea.

The Colored Clay CC Primer comes in this unique style with green and lilac to help even out skin tones and cover up any redness. What I was surprised with was how well pigmented this is I remember the first time I swatted it I was blown by the pigmentation and it is rather thick too but nevertheless it glides on with no hassle. This is one of my favourite base/primer products by far I can wear this on its own with powder to help it set otherwise I can imagine my face to be a slippery mess lol, however for darker pigmentation I do have to add concealer but thats rather expected. I have worn this under foundation and it worked just as well as long as I set it well with a good face powder but I much prefer using this without foundation over the top.

The brush however I found isn't one I'd use with the Colored Clay CC Primer as that only really needs lightly buffing in so I use the Tarte brush I got with the Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation, so yes I didn't see how it was teamed up with this but I won't complain as it works really well with other foundations and concealers, plus it makes the price tag so much worthwhile!
