Tarte Lights Camera Splashes Mascara & Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner | Review/Swatches

Tarte Lights Camera Splashes
Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Eyeliner & Double Ended Brush

As promised before heres another review on Tarte, to see all the previous products I've reviewed by Tarte click here.

Today I am reviewing the Lights Camera Splashes mascara which is basically the waterproof version of their Lights Camera Lashes mascara, firstly what a catchy name! I have been religiously using both of these mascara for the past couple of months, they have quickly made it to my top mascara's. I read mixed reviews when I ordered the Lights Camera Lashes mascara many mention their lashes weren't holding the curl and many others mentioned how it smudged and crumbled for me I have to honestly say it has been perfect adding both length and volume and only needing 2 or max 3 coats. I have worn the mascara for 12 hours straight somedays and it really hasn't been a problem. Yes if I started itching or rubbing my eyes the mascara did crumble which is executed but seriously for me the mascara has been amazing, I am ready to buy my next tube.

Next up is the Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner which comes with a duo ended brush again I am loving Tarte brushes they seriously are amazing. This duo comes with a liner brush on one end very similar to MAC's 209 brush, the other end is a smudged brush if I'm honest it doesn't work the best at smudging out this eyeliner because of the texture but I use it for smudging shadows under my lower lash line, the control you get with this brush is perfect. The liner itself is quite different to average gel liners it is much much softer but once dried it is matte as you can see from the above swatches. I am a matte gel liner kind of girl and this is on point for me the colour payoff is mega black what I can't comment on is if its waterproof as I haven't put it to the test what I can say is the above hand swatch took days before it totally came off my hand!

Mascara £17.76 | Eyeliner & Brush £20.00

  4. Those sound great! I've seen the Lights Camera Splashes mascara on a few blogs now and have heard good things about it, but haven't seen much on the liner you mentioned - I like a good matte liner too (the glossy ones can look a bit much on my smaller eyes haha) Good to know it's a contender! :)

    1. A liner has to be matte for me :) this ticks that box perfectly. Honestly speaking I like the Lights Camera Lashes mascara over the splashes one, the difference is splashes is waterproof x
