New Release | Illamasqua Satin Lipsticks | Review/Swatches

Ok these two are both new releases from Illamasqua's lipstick range Rockabilly is a new addition to the satin Glamore collection (satin lipsticks) whereas Pinkie is a new addition for the Nudes collection.

I got these as a part of a mini haul from Illamasqua, I will post a haul post to give you a sneak at everything else I picked up.

Rockabilly initially on the website looked a lot more of a raspberry pink a bit like Illamasqua's Magnetism lipstick but with a satin finish but once I received this it happens to be more of a red with slight raspberry pink undertones, I'm actually really fed up of reds and had I have seen proper swatches I don't think I'd have picked it up. For now it will come handy to customise and make it the shade I originally thought it was.

Pinkie is the more deeper and pigmented pink out of the two pink shades in the Nudes collection so I thought I'd be able to pull it off, its a very pastel kind of pink which unfortunately for me clashes badly with my skin tone as you can see from the hand swatch this is exactly what its like to the eye. You know the trend of girls wearing foundation on their lips well thats exactly how bad it clashes with my skin tone. So for me it'll be a shade that will have to be paired with a more pigmented lipliner or for ombre effect lips.

Lipsticks £18.50 each
