|Makeup Revolution Colour Chaos Palette|
You all know my love for the Urban Decay Electric Palette which I will openly admit is my favourite palette to date. Now that you've scrolled passed the pictures what if you could pick it up for £32.00 cheaper ... yes thats right for £6.00! Makeup Revolution have been busy away creating some amazing dupes of higher end products one of them is the Makeup Revolution Colour Chaos Palette.
This palette comes with 18 shades as opposed to the Electric palette which features 10 shades. It seems all the shades are duped along with 8 others as an addition. Since trying my last palette from Makeup Revolution link I was thrilled with 6 matte shades on the bottom the pigmentation was amazing and they worked much better than Sleek eyeshadows. In this palette I would say the last 6 shades were a slight disappointment they didn't pick up so well, yes the swatches look ok'ish but these only showed up well on the picture they were a lot more faded to the eye. The first 12 shades are pretty decent except for Wild, Over-Bored and Toxic Apple-Tini they were slightly chalkier and less pigmented. However I did manage to work with them well I just had to pack my brush really well and keep going back and using 'patting' motions were the eyeshadows looked 'patchy'.
However I have to say that for £6.00 this is a pretty decent palette and one thats definitely pocket friendly. Yes the quality isn't unto the Electric Palette but it didn't do so bad for the price tag either! There is flaws with the palette but ones you can work with which makes me like this palette, I was slightly pleased with the results as I really didn't have high hopes on it. The 6 matte shades on the bottom work well mixed with the top 12 shades thats exactly what I did with the lime green on my inner corners on the pic below. I must also say the eyeshadows work a lot better with a brush compared to the finger swatches. So yes the palette is a lovely bargain!
