Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Full Coverage Foundation | Review/Swatches

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Full Coverage Foundation

Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation with brush from tarte. A long-wearing, supremely blendable coverage foundation with SPF15 to help protect your skin from UVA and UVB rays. Enjoy satin-matte coverage with a lightweight texture with this nutrient-rich foundation and brush from tarte.

This foundation from Tarte no doubt has a lot of hype I don't think I;ve read a single negative regarding this foundation and because we are lucky to now have a selected range of Tarte products available to us in the UK through QVC this is also one of the products available to us and probably the one I was most excited to try.

On first impressions I like the packaging of the foundation including the wooden effect lid, it comes in a squeezey bottle designed to be stood on its lid leaving all the foundation towards the end which is something I feel many other brands need to adapt the idea of having the foundation on its end ensuring you to be able to use most of the product possible. The texture is pretty much thick and has a different feel to it compared to average foundations, it blends out pretty much seamlessly however I do feel it has a slightly heavy finish to it. I would say all though it is a oil-free foundation I have a typical oily t-zone and and dry patches but it sat well on my dry patches without clinging to them.

What is also a bonus is the brush you get with the foundation you won't find its one of those brushes just thrown in to complete the package. The bamboo brush itself is a high quality brush one of the most densely packed foundation brushes I have tried so far, this brush is packed with twice as much density compared to the Real Techniques Buffing Brush which have been my go-to foundation brush for over a year. The fact I now reach for this over the RT Buffing Brush speaks volumes! Definitely  must have brush, I seem to be loving all the brushes I have tried from the Tarte range and whats better is I use them regardless of what other brands I use them along with and not just Tarte.

Does the foundation live up to the lasting power it claims to .. I can't answer for 24hrs but I can answer for 10hrs .. Yes it does! Only thing I found was I needed to touch up through the day but that is normal for me when I'm using oil-free foundations for some reason my skin gets really oily. Other than that this foundation is prefect and I can actually see why it is surrounded by so much hype! My only niggle is when I need to buy a replacement I will have to pay the full price and purchase with a brush again which I will already have so I wish we had the option of buying the foundation on its own too.

Foundation £32.50
