Paul & Joe Liptick & Blusher Review|Swatches

Paul & Joe Lipstick and Blusher

Well where do I start with Paul & Joe, the packaging of core without a doubt its not missable and very unique to other brands thats one thing for sure, attention to detailing seems to be key with Paul & Joe.

I'm still pretty new to the brand but it is definitely one with art and luxury combined. This is my first time trying their lipsticks which you have to buy the case and lipstick refill separate this can be a pain but then on the other hand gives you the chance to create a personal combination. The lipstick I have is from the Lipstick CS range the casing is like a hard cardboard mine has a print of a horse incorporated into it, you can also get plastic cases too. The lipstick detailing is mind blowing almost too pretty to use but just for the sake of swatches I had to bring myself to do it. In the bullet it looks to be a bright red I expected a MAC Amplified kind of texture and colour pay off yet I was surprised at how glossy and sheer the finish is with a lovely hint of red making it something different. This lasted a good 4 hours which is what I would've expected from a lipstick with this finish, I have the shade 86. Thee lipsticks retail at £12.50 - £14.00 and lipstick cases retail at £5.00 - £7.00.

This specific blusher Colour Powder comes with the case/packaging and from what I've seen seems to be available exclusively to ASOS. Again I really didn't want to use it as the detailing is ever so pretty, but its a blend of pink and blue which give like a pale pink finish, pigmentation is pretty good too the above swatch is a one-swipe swatch, it may however clash with my skin tone now I've gone really light with my hair I'm definitely a more brights girl :) I would still wear this but probably ave to do a ombre kind of effect by using this just on the apples of my cheeks with a brighter shade. These retail at £20.00 but if you can get a discount code for ASOS which are always flying about you can earn yourself a cheeky discount.

  5. Love the cute horse print of the lipstick packaging! You have mentioned the lipstick case and the refill comes separately, so does that mean the gold part of the lipstick and the paper horse print packaging does not come together?
