Brand Introduction | Tarte Waterproof Brow Mousse & Waterproof Eyeliner | Review/Swatches

Tarte Waterproof Brow Mousse & Waterproof Eyeliner

If you're not already aware a selection of Tarte products are now available to us in the UK thanks to QVC! Today I'm introducing you to their Brow Mousse and Eyeliner both of which are said to be waterproof. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited for Tarte to launch here after seeing so many reviews and hypes so for that I am thankful to QVC.

Firstly the Waterproof Brow Mousse this comes in a square glass pot with a detailed lid, the product is only filled down the centre so almost like a round pot saving the hassle of trying to get to the bottom corners of a square pot. What I really like is the fact a brush is included foo and that too a double ended one, so for £24.00 I do think it is worth it as a double ended brush would cost half the price on average anyway. The Brow Mousse is a gel texture and pretty much reminds me of Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow Pomades which are my favourite brow products to date. The texture of this was slightly tougher than a gel eyeliner, picked up on the brush well. I would say this would last well through light rain but not so much with any more than that, it gives me a lovely subtle finish to my brows and goes on pretty easy too, finally it lasted well all day. I love the brush it is pretty light with a selected amount of bristles making it perfect to work with by adding stroke in the direction your hair grows, the spoole end is also great for going over to even your brows out, fix any mishaps you make and to make the hair with. I now use the brush with all my brow products. There is a total of 3 shades available, Rich Brown being the darkest, I would definitely loved to have seen a couple more darker shades.

Secondly the Waterproof Eyeliner again comes with a dual ended brush and a round pot at the price of £20.00 again totally worth it as you're getting a brush with it in that price too. The texture of the eyeliner is much softer, goes on quite sheer so I like to give it a couple of coats. There is three shade available including Plum. Purple is a shade I don't see lots of in gel liner ranges. This is a pretty subtle plum but what I also do is if I really want to make this pop I apply it over a black liner which really brings out the prettiness of this shade. The brush included is another winner for me I've started using this all the time and put my MAC one to the back, I find the bristles are tougher making this a dream to work with eyeliners like Inglot and Urban Decays which are thicker in texture, I am loving the other side of this brush too I use it to smudge my eyeliner under my waterline.

I am quite pleased with the products specially the brushes which I now use everyday! I'd definitely like to try more Tarte products I already own one of their Amazonian Clay Blushers which totally live up to the hype they are surrounded by. I probably wouldnt have justified the prices had the brushes not been included.

  1. The pencil with the angled brush is such a good idea mixing them both together!
