New Release|Body Shop Hair Chalks

The Body Shop Hair Chalk £5.00

Its no surprise hair chalks are HUGE right now, just recently Body Shop have released their take on this trend by creating two different colours; blue and pink. This is my first time trying hair chalks, did I expect any drastic result well no as I have dark hair.

So I followed the instructions (for dry/bleached hair apply a leave in conditioner before) I applied the hair chalk straight to my hair concentrating on my ombre ends I did this a section at a time taking the hair chalk higher on some sections to give a more blended look. In the second pic you can see my hair after I had applied them to my hair and its safe to say I was amazed at how well it showed on my hair even on sections that I applied it above my ombre. Finally I finished the step off by brushing through (have a towel in your lap so the excess doesn't fall onto your clothes) and finished by sealing with a gentle spritz of hair spray. Now I didn't follow the step of leave in conditioner and my hair did feel slightly dry so I would recommend doing this step.

I am actually quite pleased with the results to say I have dark hair and I love how it gave my ombre'd ends a gorgeous tint of pink! I would have preferred not brushing the product out but once I master getting it right without my hair looking chalky I think I will try rubbing my ends together to kep the pigmentation bright. Overall I am actually loving this trend and these hair chalks by Body Shop only cost £5.00 so not a huge pocket burner either, they are mega quick to apply with lovely results.
