Lord & Berry Review
Lord & Berry Lipstick Pencil - 'Vintage Pink' £8.00
Lord & Berry was a brand I had Vaguely heard and read about in the bloggersphere, I have to admit the more I read about it the more I was intrigued to try the brand.
As you will all know lip pencils/chubby sticks these have many names and all different brands have their own take on them from high street to high end. I decided to try Lord & Berry's version as I was familiar with what to expect from other brands its always a good way to test out a brand you are new to. Firstly I have to say this lip pencil is super pigmented even for quite a light shade, this literally glided on to my lips with no pulling tugging and whats even better was when I trialled this for the first time my lips were super dry due to weather change but yet this didn't 'hug' my lips in their worst areas. Finally staying power is pretty good roughly 4-5 hours before I had to reapply and this didn't leave my lips feeling dry or dehydrated.
Lord & Berry Ink Glam Liquid Liner £9.50
Eyeliners are mega 'in' this year, these come in many different forms/types. I always recommend liquid liners to my clients who are just starting to explore with liners. This comes with a tapered tip which has good flexibility to create flicks and has a glossy black finish. What I tend to find with some liquid liners the pigmentation isn't so strong and you have to go over to intensify and get a good coverage finish but with this liner I didn't experience that. Pigmentation was great in the first stroke, the above swatches are one stroke swatches so you can see exactly what I mean.
Lord & Berry Scuba Extreme Waterproof Mascara £10.00
Here I am wearing the Ink Glam Liquid Liner and Scuba Extreme Waterproof Mascara
Finally I decided to try their mascara, although I don;t usually so waterproof makeup due to the pulling and tugging involved when I need to remove it, I also find that the formula is never as good as the same range product which is not waterproof so this was a real tester for me. I actually quite like this mascara and were it for day wear it is great at emphasisng the length of lashes and does somewhat also add some volume. I would definitely say its one more lengthening one stroke equally applies a good coat from root to tip. Also when removing (using a waterproof makeup remover as the eye are is very sensitive) this isn't so difficult to remove as some waterproof mascara's can be infact this was even much easier to remove than Benefit's 'They're Real' this literally kind of crumbles away.
Overall I am quite impressed with Lord & Berry products, it's a brand which I had the impression down as a high end brand but the prices are most definitely more towards high-street. I am looking to try some more stuff from Lord & Berry specially some more vibrant shades in the Lipstick Pencils, is there anything you would recommend from this brand?
