Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette |
Until then I thought I may as well cover this palette and my thoughts, this did also sell out and has been restocked in a few places, retailing at £42.00. I contemplated getting this palette for some time as I have the Vice palette (you can see my review on the Vice Palette *HERE*) which I don't use so much as I should as it has some really amazing shades too, my sister who bought this palette straight after its release swayed me into getting it. I gave hers the good old 'finger test' as the hubby calls it lol!
I was actually suprised with the shades in this one its not until you swatch the eyeshadows that you realise how amazing the shades are. Yes I have the Vice palette yes the shades in that are great too but these are even BETTER!
One thing I must say is Urban Decay have really worked on their glittered shades I tried a few from the palettes before this and ended up like a disco ball by the end of the night, it seems they may have started using finer glitter particles. The other thing I love about this is that theres definitely more wearable shades with a selection of colourful shades. The texture of the eyeshadows may have been slightly more improved too as they feel more buttery (good thing) and as always the pigmentation and pay off is great.
The brush in comparison to the Vice palette brush is slightly smaller the bristles are slightly shorter in length too. The eyeshadow brush seems a little more packed out and the blending brush side seems a little more lightweight.
Overall I LOVE the marble effect packaging, the palette comes with a huge mirror which is an added bonus, I do prefer the Vice 2 brush as opposed to the Vice palette brush. The selection of shades are also another thing which I really like. Am I glad I bought this palette .. HELL YEAH! £42.00 does seem pricey for a palette but with Urban Decay anyone knows putting that type of money down is usually worth it besides if you work it out the palette has 20 shades, that'd be about £2.10 per shade and not to forget the brush and the gorgeous packaging. And guess what else after totally despising the Naked palettes I've only just been swayed into buying one myself, I will post a review with my thoughts.
