Elemis Freshskin Review* |
Previously I reviewed Elemis's cleanser and toner you can see the review *here* this was my first time trying Elemis and since then I have fallen in love. Naturally I was indulged into exploring more from the brand.
Elemis White Flowers Eye & Lip Makeup Remover £19.00 |
I have heard lots of good things about this makeup remover and what got me even more interested is the fact it is a lip makeup remover too. It is more expensive than your average makeup remover but have you ever used a normal makeup remover on your lips, I've made that mistake and my lips felt so dried out and sore it was unbelievable. I decided to give this makeup remover a test, on the above swatches the left is a one swipe swatch whereas the right is a built up swatch of a dark pigmented lipstick, I applied the makeup remover to a cotton bud and swiped it across. The results are there for you to see for yourself I only swiped the cotton bud across once. This makeup remover is not only good at removing lipstick it also does an amazing job at removing eye makeup including waterproof makeup, whats even better is that is actually conditions your lashes too. Without a doubt this is one of my favourite makeup removers at the moment.
Elemis Freshskin Loving Lips Quenching Lip Balm £8.00 |
Elemis Freshskin Makeup Away Cleansing Wipes £6.00 |
'Freshskin by Elemis make-up removing cleansing wipes are enriched with elderflower extract and camomile to gently sweep away impurities whilst softening and conditioning the skin.
This formulation acts as a purifying cleanser and is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.'
So they are designed for all skintypes, you get 25 decent sized wipes in a pack and they claim to remove waterproof makeup, if I'm honest I don't wear waterproof makeup. generally these did a good job at removing my daily wear makeup, I have sensitive eyes so tend to have a problem with makeup removers/wipes being to harsh on/around my eyes I didn't actually experience that with these wipes. I also tested these out whilst wearing heavy makeup and it took a little more effort if I'm honest but nothing too major so these have now gone into my makeup kit. Once again well done Elemis you have seemed to impress me.

Since my beloved eye make up remover is about to finish I think I'll give this a try since it seems so effective but gentle as well. There's just nothing like salon skin care! Xx
