Korres Makeup Review/Swatches

Korres Bronzing Powder & Blusher *
Korres is a brand that I'd always known for skin care and body care, I never knew it to be one for makeup until I was glancing through Big Green Smile where only natural and organic products are sold so instantly I was drawn in and I chose the blusher and bronzer.

Korres Zea Mays Blush - £17.50*
First up is the Zea Mays Blusher in the shade 'Orange' now it looked really scary in the pan when I first saw it but its actually quite a soft orange shade which would work well with all skin tones. I find this gives me a lovely glow when applied to the apples of my cheeks, the texture is soft and easy to blend with a shimmery finish. I do think its slightly pricey for a blusher but the main ingredient in this blusher being corn, the fact it is dermatologically tested and it being a organic product may make up for it.

Korres Bronzing Powder - £14.00
The bronzer shade I chose was 'Sunglow Warm' which I would explain as a sunburn brown with a shimmery finish. Now I'm not usually one for shimmery bronzers but thought I'd give this a try, I tried using this as a bronzer and to some extent it works but when I tried contouring using this it didn't work so well, so I now use it as a blusher for a sunkissed effect to my cheeks. The texture is exactly the same as the blusher soft and easy to work with I wouldn't say it is heavily pigmented but it is really easily buildable.

Is there anything you would recommend from the Korres makeup range?

  1. I like the colour if the bronzer, id probably use it as a blush too looking at the finish. They both are really pretty! I want to try some more natural products.
