KIKO Cosmetics brand is one I got to know more about through the world of blogging, the packaging has always seemed to be really sophisticated and all the reviews I had read to date were positive. I decided to try a couple of their products and heres what I chose:
|Smoky Look Eyeshadow - £6.90|
The Smoky Look Eyeshadow Pencil comes duo ended with a sponge at one end and the pencil at the other. The texture of the eyeshadow itself is great and glides on, this eyeshadow can be used as a base to intensify or to add a pop of colour to the eyes, its also great to be used as a part of a smokey eye look which is where I think this pencil gets its name. The sponge is designed to create a smudged effect although because I am used to using brushes I won't really use the sponge.
|Dazzling Highlighter - £7.90|
Second item I chose was the Dazzling Highlighter in 'Gleaming Apricot' which is pretty nude/beige colour, I love this product in every way. The packaging is ideal as you have full control over the product and no product waste as you do with liquid/cream highlighters because they are most often soaked into the bristles of the brushes. This very much reminds me of Benefit's High Beam but in a cream block version, the texture is soft and glides on with amazing pigmentation, it also gives the effect of a liquid highlighter and stays put all day. I think its totally worth the price tag which is only a fraction of the price of high-end highlighters.
Overall I am really impressed with my first KIKO products, I love how the price tags aren't overly damaging and the products are totally unique to what you get from other brands. I also love the daring colours that are available to explore with.
Is there anything you would recommend from KIKO Cosmetics?
