MAC Retro Mattes Review/Swatches

So recently everyone went crazy for the Retro Mattes collection how do I know well when ringing MAC Pro the payment system was down after several calls and a few hours later the system was up but all the lipsticks were sold out .. Frustrated .. Annoyed .. to say the least so I just ordered the Antonio Lopez face kit and a eyeshadow kit.

Then a few days later a back in stock email popped in my inbox slightly confused but as it appears some of these shades are going to be part of the permanent line and some are just limited edition one of the limited edition one's is 'Runway Hit' which has been sold out since I managed to get it god knows how but I got it lol.

Relentlessly Red - Looks red in the online website swatches, it actually meets how they have described it a lot better though, this is a pinky - red.

All Fired Up - A deep Fuchsia pink the perfect pink that suits all skin tones.

Runway Hit - Gorgeous colour which is a nude colour with hints of coral and pink, I'm NC30 and this suits me well and doesn't clash with my skin tone.

After hearing and reading a lot of reviews I was on the fence until I received these, and after having a fair few days of wearing them I'm impressed. I tend to pre-moisture my lips for about 5 mins with Baby Lips then slick the lipstick on. It kind of feels like when your lips have had a high pigmented lipstick on your lips all day and it goes creamy, well that's what its like with these lipsticks except the creamy feeling stays these don't hog any dry skin on my lips and are really well pigmented with amazing staying power, I haven'tt tried them without pre-moisturising my lips and don't think I will. I love them and as matte's seem to becoming a big hit this A/W I can see I'll be rocking these on my lips a lot.

Did you pick any of these or do you have any matte lipstick recommendations?

Don't forget you can now advertise on my blog click *here* for more details

    1. Yep it wasn't so promising as I was asked to make a payment but if they didn't have the shade in the mail order department I would be refunded lol x

  5. I'm loving Relentlessly Red and Runway Hit. I hope they are not as drying as Ruby Red.

    1. Runway hit was a limited edition but I think Relentlessly Red may be a part of their permanent line, I've not tried Ruby Woo but pre-moisture is a key for me
