This is one of the products I've been stalking and waiting for (this post was in my drafts and i totally forgot) I must say I was beyond jealous of all you Londeners who went to the launch event and got one for free. But as soon as they were realeased I got my hands on one too. These retail at £23.50 and you get a fair bit of product.
What is this .. it is a highlighter and double blusher in one with a cream texture.
You basically twist the little rotator and swipe straight on to your cheeks and then blend, below are swatches although I couldn't pick them up well on the cam
What I thought:
Personally the packaging sounds like a great idea but the problem is our cheeks aren't flat so its a kind of like having to try use one/two colours then tilt toward the other colour/highlighter. Also I think the pigmentation could have slighlyyy been a bit stronger. Now it sounds like I'm hating on this product and I am maybe on the fence about it due to the flat surface and applying to the cheeks. This can also be used on lips now I think if you are using the edge colours it will be ok to swipe it on but will be fiddly with the middle colour maybe using a lip brush or blusher brush might be my next option I really do love the product and was eagerly excited for it to launch that I do not want to fall out with it so soon. So I'm not too sure maybe I need to work with it more. Overall the colours and highlighter are nice.
it does seem like a great idea, though like you said - faces aren't flat. comes outa -pretty colour though!
ReplyDeleteIt does give a really gorgeous the colours are amazing x
DeleteI felt the same way about the flat nature of this. I have notice that mine is now curved from it being used in my cheeks. I have to swipe it about 3 times to get good pigmentation. Thanks for the review!
ReplyDeleteI agree it takes a few swipes for colour to show how I'd like it x
DeleteAbsolutely love this, i enjoy wearing it on my cheeks and also as a lip colour :D

I've not used it as a lip colour brilliant tip thanks Hun x
DeleteI like it theory but as you said faces are not flat so it'll wear down different (maybe more one colour than the other?). x
ReplyDeleteYeh it does seem to be wearing down to a different shape x
DeleteWow that's so pretty! Try placing it flat on your face press down and blend with a buffing brush?? X
ReplyDeleteThanks Hun will try this x
DeleteI didn't even know this existed. Where have I been?! I love a good highlighting product, but I can see what you mean about it being flat. How strange.
ReplyDeleteI love reviews that cover the positive and negatives :) Very helpful.

Thank you and glad you found it helpful :) x
DeleteIt looks nice but I don't think the pink one would suit me, depends on how it looks blended together too, xoxo.
