Crown Brushes Review

I've heard a lot about Crown Brushes, the first time I ever heard of them was through Twitter since then I've heard of celebrities and makeup artists using them. I already had a few brushes which I ordered from them. Their prices vary and its kind of like what you pay is what you get kind of thing they have all different price ranges and brush ranges too.

Each Monday they hold a competition where you submit a makeup look and the best one is chosen. I entered religiously but then started giving up but to my suprise I actually ended up winning. Obviously it wasn't about the prize but more so the recognition, being at fulltime mum and self-taught makeup artist with no makeup qualifications to me this means a lot more than the prize, obviously I am grateful for the prize too.

This is my makeup entry which helped me win:

I created this look for my weekly makeup tag and entered it for the competition, I mean why not I create a new look for my tag each week so why not submit it at the same time :)

The prize is £20 worth of brushes which you get to pick from their website. So I headed over to pick the brushes I wanted.
Here are the brushes I chose:

Left - Right
Angle blush brush, Oval shadow brush, Chisel fluff/pointed crease brush, Cresent shadow brush

My collection of Crown Brushes
What I think:
Each brush comes wrapped efficiently, as for fall out I've not experienced any. Suprisingly the quality of the brushes is really good too. The brushes are actually soft rather than rough/scratchy type. I love how they also do double ended brushes I don't think I've seen any other companies do these, the only other double ended brush I have is a Bobbi Brown one. I will be looking into purchasing more. The only thing I do wish is all the brushes came with the print of the purpose on the brush i.e. the angle brush is labelled and some of the others have but some haven't.

  6. Congrats on the win! The look is fabulous. :) And these are quite inexpensive for brushes. Also, Sephora often has double ended brushes, I have one of theirs that I like quite a bit.

    1. Thank you, yes they are definitely affordable, we don't have Sephora in the UK so I don't own anything from there which is a shame :( xx
