Twenty-Fourth Weekly Makeup Tag - Peacock

Hey girls, guess what ... Exactly 6 months ago I started this tag which means my little tag is six months old today, I am beyond overwhelmed and let me tell you I couldn't have got this far without you, if the tag is where it is then its simply because YOU helped me make it successful! Another big thank you to Deja and Sal you girls were the ones who encouraged me to start it and still participate til this day. As I mentioned last week I'm doing a giveaway of the Urban Decay 'Glinda' Palette I have this palette myself and love it.

To make this giveaway fair couple of simple rules:
- I will place names of everyone who actively participates in my weekly makeup tags and does the next step into a hat and the winner will be randomly picked
- You must leave me at least two idea's for future themes (please make sure we haven't already previously used the theme in the past)

On to this weeks theme which was 'Peacock' inspired, all I can say is three words OH-MY-GOD we rocked it! This theme is my second best one so far after the Arabian Makeup Tag, big well done girls the creativity is above and beyond.
Please say hi to Danielle who is joining us this week (waves frantically)

MAC Snake Collection 'Shell Pearl' Beauty Powder

I haven't really bought much from the recent MAC collections infact this is only my second item. Firstly I'm on a spending ban, secondly I've not really been drawn in by anything and thirdly because I'm was waiting for the MAC Archie girls collection which I can say happily I have everything i wanted from the collection.

Must I make it clear I didn't purchase this product hubby did although I could have happily got a couple more things from this collection but as a part of my spending ban I have been learning how to say no because that is my weakest point really and I've got damn good at it must I say so myself lol.

Anyway here's pics of this beauty:

The detailing on the powder and the boxing support the collection, although I'm not a fan of snakes they freak me out I have a weird fear about them but anyway I didn't find this too bad as you can't see the face lol. It looks more peachy in the pan, when swatched it is a pearlescent highlight/shimmer. I think I will use it more on the basis as a highlighter. I think it's use is multipurpose judging from the name beauty powder.

Illamasqua Liquid Metal Palette - Art of Darkness Review

Since my first ever Illamasqua product Gleam highlighter and hubby got me the Illamasqua Alter Ego Mystery Selection Box (click here to see what I got in the box) I've fallen in love with Illamasqua specifically the Liquid Metal's. So before my spending ban I jumped on to the website to have a nosy when I received an email saying they have a sale on. I saw the Art Of Darkness Palette was on sale for £10 and had to purchase. I also made the hubby buy me the Eyes and Nail Mystery Box, review on that is yet to come. I have ended up with 3 gold Liquid Metal's and am selling one if anyone is interested just email me .

The palette contains four Liquid Metal colours: Stoic (green), Solstice (gold), Superior (blue) and Resolute (red). The Liquid Metals are so versatile can be used on face and body although I mainly use them as a base, eyeshadow or eyeliner. The texture is amazingly soft and all the swatches below are one swipe swatches. The colours are highly pigmented however if your are going to use these as a eyeshadow set them with a similar colour eyeshadow or translucent powder as they do crease easy. The original cost of this palette is £34.00 I managed to pick this baby up for £10.

Heres pics/swatches:

Have you tried any of the Liquid Metal colours? What is your favourite Illamasqua product? I'd love to know so just leave me a little message below :) x

Rimmel Apocalips Review

Ahh so these are the hype at the moment and raved about all over Twitter and Blogger, so whilst on my shopping spree I used my Boots points to get these, they retail at £5.99 each and are currently on offer for 3for2. The shades i got were Big Bang, Galaxy and Stellar. My favourite one is Stellar it appears a lot more corally in the pic below but in actual fact its a lot pinkier.

My thoughts:

Now recently I read some of you aren't liking these but for me I quite like them they last ages and amazingly don't really leave you with that 'worn away' look if you know what I mean. I must say I'm not too sure on the smell its a mixture of slight fragrance and 'producty' smell but I can cope with that I guess. What I would have liked is for Rimmel to have brought a wider range of colours out. Generally I love the ones I have :) xx

Crown Brushes Review

I've heard a lot about Crown Brushes, the first time I ever heard of them was through Twitter since then I've heard of celebrities and makeup artists using them. I already had a few brushes which I ordered from them. Their prices vary and its kind of like what you pay is what you get kind of thing they have all different price ranges and brush ranges too.

Each Monday they hold a competition where you submit a makeup look and the best one is chosen. I entered religiously but then started giving up but to my suprise I actually ended up winning. Obviously it wasn't about the prize but more so the recognition, being at fulltime mum and self-taught makeup artist with no makeup qualifications to me this means a lot more than the prize, obviously I am grateful for the prize too.

This is my makeup entry which helped me win:

Baby's Diary - You Turn 8 Months Old

This ones a few days late due to having a few scheduled posts and being super busy but here we are again time is flying by before it was days and now it's months. It saddens me slightly you are growing so fast but then seeing you do all the new things you do I well up with joy. Recap of last month follows:

- Your first tooth has surfaced not by much but a little
- You are settling in a lot more at the day centre but if one baby starts crying it's like Chinese whispers but in very loud baby cries version
- Your first word was daddy <3 p="">- You seem to be very unsettled on nights
- You have started to throw your weight back and forth to get the walker to move
- You've discovered how to grab the side of the cot and pull yourself up
- You have started crawling backwards and at one point even reached the kitchen lol
- You're still very attached to mummy and always want me to be next to you otherwise chaos breaks loose
- You often try to cry to get attention but yet end up screaming
- You're way of getting mummy and daddy's attention is by saying 'uh'
- You love the theme song of Eastenders and often stop what you are doing
- You like to dance when you hear any music and often shuffle on your bum or rock back & forth
- When we are out in the car and the music is on we often hear you humming I guess singing along because you stop as soon as it goes off

That's it for this month see you back here next month lots of love <3 nbsp="" p="">

You'll all be thinking is this the right blog indeed it is ladies I went on a crazy mission for three days I stripped my whole blog down and re-did it all in the perspective of wanting it to look more proffessional which meant letting go of my wacky side personality. . Miss Digi Nails Review - Inc Nail Wrap, Lip Tattoo & False Nail Tutorials

I love helping promote the smaller businesses that really make an effort one of them I'm bringing to you is Miss DigiNails they are based in Middlesbrough. What makes this company different is not only do they sell nail wraps, lip tattoo's and false nails they also have a salon where you can have all these done, besides all this they offer a service which I've never seen before 'digital nails' i was like huh whats that basically you can have any image you like printed on to false nails so for instance if your going out and have an outfit you simply take a picture and send this to them which they get printed on to false nails ... how cool is that. The other day someone tweeted a picture of nail wraps that had pics of love heart sweets from a magazine and it sprung to mind that all you have to do is send a pic and you can have that printed on to false nails!

Here's some pics of nail wraps, lip tattoo and false nail ranges they do:

Surprise Valentines Gift & OOTD, FOTD

I'm doing a bit of a combo on this post I've included my suprise gifts and a FOTD and OOTD. If you want to see the other treats I got for valentines day click here and here. I was VERY cautious and ALWAYS am when it comes to posts like these due to the hate that hangs around the bloggersphere but then I thought its nothing for me to be ashamed off. I am spoilt ALOT by my hubby and don't deny that nor am I ungrateful to that this is due to what we have been through together. I fell pregnant straight after getting married and was very ill all the way through so this spoilt our first events as a married couple i.e. new year, valentines day, birthdays etc. Anyway I was expecting a DSLR as I'd requested one I currently have Canon D400 which doesn't record video's so I wanted one that does. The rest of the items were suprise gifts. Enough of the babbling on to the photo's:

My lovely prezzies:

Gorgeous bouquet of flowers

'I LOVE YOU' Balloon

Gorgeous card

'You're Gorgeous' plaque (blushes)

My suprise gift
Canon 1100 DSLR
Baba was with his Grandma for the day so once hubby got in from work we went for a lovely meal together, here's some pic's of what I wore, makeup, hair and accessories:

Guess chunky chained necklace
Guess multi-chained bracelet
Jinkksy double disco ball earrings

Guess chunky chain bracelet

Jane Norman sequin clutch & Barratts wedges
I went for a simple smokey eye look with a red lipstick statement look. My outfit I wore was a drop hem dress with gold sequined belt look, I paired this up with my nude blazer and wedges. I also carried my black sequined Jane Norman bag which I felt went really well as my outfit was black and had sequins, to finish it all off I went for all gold jewellery to emphasize the gold sequins on my dress.

I don't do many OOTD post's and I'm not too good at them so definitely let me know if you'd like to see more and where I can improve xxx

Hubby's Treat - Huge Shopping Spree (Pic Heavy Post)

This is my second Valentines day treat click here to see my first one. I have two more treats which I've been told I HAVE to wait until Valentines day before I'm allowed them now I know what one of them is because I've requested it, I've started YouTube tutorials and because I do makeup tutorials they need to be as clear as possible and at the moment I have a Canon 400D SLR cam which doesn't record video's so I've requested a DSLR what does record vid's so yep excited ain't the word and as for the suprise gift I am a very impatient spoilt girl and my hubby has himself to blame for it buuuut I'm going to wait patiently. Now I am a heavy spender but I am on a spending ban so this shopping spree worked a treat really I was literally allowed to spend as much as I want and get whatever I like but however I tried to be reasonable (you'll be thinking yeah right when you see the pics lol!) Diamante Collar Designed Necklace

I thought it would be great to share this post with you, I've been wanting a collar styled necklace since I had first seen one, they are an amazing design and can immediately glam up any outfit. So while I was having a browse through the shops I spotted this beauty:

This is from the Opia range in Primark, I was shocked to see this beauty in Primark. What's even better is when I took it to the till apparently it was on sale and I picked it up for half the price! Gorgeous isn't it? Have you picked up a similar designed necklace I'd love to know as I would like a casual wear one =] xx
