DGJ Organics

DGJ Organics were looking for bloggers to review their 'Hair Colour Remover' and because my hair has a build up of colour and the condition has gone from bad to worse specially after giving birth I opted in and requested to review the product for them. They were really hepful and kind with great customer service they checked my blog out and were happy enough to send me the product.

The product is very similar to a hair stripper but much more friendlier for your hair.

About the product: It's an organic hair colour remover - it floats the dye molecules off and you then wash it out with the formula, it's a bit like a home hair dye kit except it removes colour instead of adding it. Leaves your hair in fab condition, too! It's not damaging in any way as it is bleach and ammonia free with organic aloe vera and cucumber in to strengthen the hair.

I gave this colour remover a go and well first impressions the smell was horrible if I'm honest my house and hair stunk of rotten eggs, yep u read that right, I've washed my hair 3 times and the smell is just there =[ I have to use loads of stuff on my hair to mask the smell. My hair well rather than going back to the dark brown/black my natural colour which I didn't expect it to go back to but it washed out to a brown/blonde! I really wasn't happy and its a good job my hair has been every colour poss in the past that I came round. I removed the colour firstly and simply because since giving birth it has been really bad but it looks like I will have to dye it again because the colour is clashing with my skin tone.

So I tweeted DGJ Organics who were pretty helpful and I wont take that away from them they did mention what the horrible smell was it is something to do with the ingredients I cant remember exactly what they said if I'm honest but they said the colour on my hair before (deep red) must have contained peroxide which has resulted in all this (I wish I was pre-warned because when offering to review I did mention what colour my hair was) anyway they kindly offered to send me shampoo and conditioner which I think was really nice of them and advised I dye my hair a semi permanent colour.

I received a shampoo, conditioner, repair conditioner mask and a everyday conditioner
These smell beyond gorgeous!!!

Colour before using the colour remover

Colour after using colour remover although this pic doesn't justify how light the colour is but its the best pic I could take
You can see what my natural colour is supposed to be. So just a word of advice be careful before using colour removers look further into what type of hair colour you have used and what result you can be left with.

In all honesty and fairness I can't blame DGJ I guess it falls down to what type of colour you have on your hair and they did kindly send me shampoo and conditioner all organic certified AND the shampoo doesn't contain sulphate.

What was in my September Jolie Box

This is the first time I have ever used Jolie and it was only after seeing reviews of what other's had received that I jumped to the opportunity and signed up luckily I was still able to sign up to for September's box. I must say WOW I am as amazed I thought I would be. They have a gorgeous limited edition bax and unlike Glossy Box where the items were not as pleasing as the limited edition box I was more than pleased with the items in the box too.

Unlike other monthly subscription boxes you get a free magazine with this one too, there was also a leaflet with a 10% discount code for Boohoo which will be useful to me.

All the items come in a mini pouch another little addition. As soon as I opened my pouch I was hit by this gorgeous smell I had to have a smell 3 times and then smelt every item to see where it was coming from.

The gorgeous box
Drawstring pouch

The items I received

Dr Brogi Bio Marine Exfoliant
You may look at these and think what the hell and usually I kick a fuss about minitures what beauty boxes class as a 'luxury sample' but from reading reviews I read a little of this stuff goes a long way besides these are extra's
Coconut Face Mask
I love the smell of Coconuts so really can't wait to try this

Redken Protective Straightening Lotion
This is one of the items what indulged me into signing up for this months Jolie box I am currently loving Redken since trying my first product from a She Said Beauty Box

Balmi
Want to know what the gorgeous smell was...well it was this little beauty omg I am in love! The main reason I wanted this months box, it also has a little clip which can be attached mine is going with my keyrings and keys

Twist Band
These are hair bands designed not to make your hair kink and not long ago they were a trend to be wore on your wrists another product I am happy with

Wide Awake Palette

My first make up product from the beauty boxes I am subscribed to 3 including this one and only joined up this month and last month for all of them. This is an illuminating and skin brightening kit which also has eyebrow shading colours...pretty amazing if you ask me along come a pair of tweezers and a mini brush how cool is that!

What I think:
I am more than pleased to have this box and will be leaving my subscription going with Jolie box. I love all the stuff what came in this box and really look forward to next months box =]

New MAC Additions Review

You will have seen from my previous haul video I bought a few more products from MAC which means there's a review =] I dont even need to tell you about my love for MAC lol you will be sick of reading it in all my posts lol.

Anyway here's a pic of what I bought

So this time I bought my fifth Electric Cool Ltd edition eyeshadow I'm absolutely loving the pigmentation of these colours they're amazing. You can see my review on the rest of my Electric Cool eyeshadows here.
This time I picked up 'LIT', LIT is a yellow/lime colour with a cream - powder texture like the rest of the collection. I've actually realised I have developed an addiction for cream textured blushers and eyeshadows.

Next I bought a Sheertone Shimmer Blush in 'SPRINGSHEEN'. Another addiction I seemed to have developed is for pinky/coral blushers. This blusher looks pink and deceiving until application you see a golden tone which I immediatley fell in love with and had to purchase. you will see what I mean from the swatch pic.

My final purchase was the 252 Large Shader Brush which is a part of the Electric Cool Eyeshadows edition. It has soft synthetic bristles created to be used with cream eyeshadows.

Hope you enjoyed the post, do you own any of these???
